Preparing today's students for tomorrow's world in a caring learning environment

Superintendent

Dear Reader,

Thank you for your interest in the Mid-Prairie Community School District. We take our mission of "preparing today's students for tomorrow's world in a caring learning environment" very seriously. We take extreme pride in the fact that our school district has been recognized both nationally and statewide for our efforts and those of the community to prepare our children, adolescents and young adults for their futures.

If you have questions or concerns about any school issue or about any of the information found on this website, feel free to contact the appropriate school personnel. I can be reached by telephone (319-646-6093), cell phone (319-936-8601), or email (mschneider@mphawks.org).

I appreciate your support.

Yours in service,

-- Mark

Mark Schneider, Superintendent
Mid-Prairie Community School District

Mr. Schneider earned his bachelors and masters degrees in Elementary Education and holds Superintendent and Evaluator licensure from the State of Iowa.

He completed his student teaching at Mid-Prairie and through the years has served Mid-Prairie as a substitute teacher, elementary teacher, and elementary principal.

His three children have graduated from Mid-Prairie and 3 of his 4 grandchildren are currently attending Mid-Prairie.

He has lived his entire life in northern Washington County and currently lives with my wife, Maureen, on an 80-acre farm north of Wellman where his main mission in life, outside of school responsibilities, is to torment his children by spoiling his grandchildren.
