PRIDE
Mid-Prairie Middle School utilizes five PRIDE behavior expectations to encourage a positive, safe, and caring school culture. PRIDE stands for Personal responsibility, Respect yourself and others, Invest in your work, Dare to take a risk, and Everyone is included.
The PRIDE expectations are taught and practiced through weekly lessons and building wide activities. Students are recognized by staff members for exceeding or continuously following PRIDE expectations throughout the school year.
One component of PRIDE is recognizing students for exceeding or continuously following MPMS PRIDE expectations.
Staff members nominate students. Monthly and quarterly rewards are given to nominated students.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I nominate students?
Nominations can be submitted through the Google form located here and in the About section of the MPMS Staff classroom. If you prefer a paper form, they are located on the counter in the work room. Completed forms go in Mrs. Rusch's mailbox.
Who can nominate students?
All MPMS staff members can nominate PRIDE students.
Is this the same as PBIS?
No. Nominations are more for students that either exceed or continuously follow our PRIDE expectations. Helping a new student get to class, standing up for a peer, or ensuring everyone is included in classroom activities would be examples of possible PRIDE nominations.
How are students recognized?
At the end of every month, students are recognized by getting a small reward. We also recognize those students at award assemblies and sending an email home to parents. We're continuously looking for new recognition suggestions!
