Mid-Prairie Celebrates Homecoming Week with School and Community Spirit

Mid-Prairie High School students, staff, and community members came together this week to celebrate Homecoming with a variety of activities highlighting school spirit and Golden Hawk pride. The week included a community night at the high school featuring a dodgeball tournament with teams representing each high school class, food provided by the Mid-Prairie Boosters, announcements from activities representatives, and plenty of opportunities for students and families to enjoy time together. The evening concluded with the crowning of the 2026 Mid-Prairie Homecoming royalty, with Samantha Wunderlich crowned Homecoming Queen and Tommy Miller crowned Homecoming King.

Homecoming spirit also spread throughout the district as members of the Mid-Prairie High School band, dance team, and activities representatives visited the elementary and middle schools for spirited pep assemblies. Younger Golden Hawks had the opportunity to cheer on their high school peers, enjoy performances, and take part in the excitement of Homecoming week.

The Homecoming celebration continued Friday night as the Mid-Prairie varsity football team hosted Central Lee for the Homecoming game. The Golden Hawks celebrated the evening with a 56-21 victory. MPHS students will wrap up the week with their Homecoming dance on Saturday night, bringing another memorable Homecoming celebration to a close. The school spirit and community support shown throughout Homecoming week are a wonderful reflection of what makes Mid-Prairie such a great place to be.
