Elsa Schmidt was recognized today with the Golden Owl award. The award was presented by Nationwide Insurance and the Iowa FFA Foundation. This annual award recognizes outstanding Iowa Ag educators for their tremendous contributions in preparing the next generation of young people for successful careers in Ag. There were over 253 nominations for 75 different teachers and Elsa was selected as a finalist from the group. She received an engraved plaque and a check for $500 from Nationwide. She is eligible for the Iowa grand prize winner which will be announced at the Iowa FFA State Leadership Conference in April. Congratulations, Elsa! #mphawks #seethestars #seeforyourself
