On Saturday, February 22, Mid Prairie Middle School 8th graders Henry Yoder, Haydon Bailey, Jacob Donaldson, Joe Hall, and Tyler Blauvelt put their knowledge and speed skills to the test at the 2020 Ames Laboratory Regional Middle School Science Bowl. Students buzzed in to answer the fast-paced and challenging toss-up and bonus questions in the five subject areas of life science, Earth and space, math, energy, and physical science. The event is one of 50 regional middle school bowl competitions to be held this year as part of the U.S. Department of Energy National Science Bowl. The team finished with a 1-2-0 win-loss-tie record from the round robin tournament.
