On Monday, Feb. 25, Mid-Prairie hosted the River Valley Conference Individual Events Speech Contest. Nine other schools brought participants - Anamosa, Bellevue, Cascade, Monticello, North Cedar, Northeast Community, Tipton, West Liberty, Wilton

For Conference Contest, Best of Center Awards are given.
Best of Center Awards were earned by Kyra Helmuth in Solo Musical Theatre and Acting, and to Elizabeth Meader in Storytelling.
Second Place in Center awards were earned by Terra Richardson in After Dinner Speaking and Acting, Olivia Caskey in Solo Musical Theatre, and Marina Richardson in Storytelling.
Third Place in Center awards was earned by Emily Righter in Public Address.
This coming Saturday, February 29, Mid-Prairie's Individual Events Speech Team is traveling to Pekin for IHSSA District Individual Events Speech Contest.
