Physics class launches rockets

In Physics class, students have been learning about force and motion. In this mini unit, the students began to explore the aerodynamics and movement of flight and more specifically began looking at the physics of rockets. Students were then given a design project in which they would build their own rockets to launch in order to see the aerodynamic forces in action!

The whole physics class with their rockets. Front row L to R: Hayley Yoder, Olivia Quinby. Middle Row L to R: Austin Bontrager, Jarrod Keller, Micah Gugel, Byron Yoder, Camden Marner, Back Row L to R: Ryan Smit, Cale Robertson, Tom Butters, Dominick Pickard, Chaz Patterson, Miles Burrows, Kessa Jones, Sarah Meader, Kate Cavanagh, and Sierra Matthews.

Byron Yoder watches as Kessa Jones is tracking her rocket and waiting for it to land. (Can you find the rocket in the sky?) :)
