Fifteen Mid-Prairie High School Students competed at the Iowa High School Speech Association's Southeast District State Individual Speech Contest on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at North Scott High School in Eldridge, Iowa.

Earning Division 1 Ratings for their performances in two events were:

Lola Knight, Solo Acting and Expository Address
Sierra Mathews, Spontaneous Speaking and Solo Improv
Evan Meader, Solo Improv and Solo Musical Theatre

Due to inclement weather in the Northwest District, IHSSA All-State nominations will be delayed until those schools have a chance to reschedule and hold their State Individual Events Contests.
