Today, Miss Sam, the Washington County Extension Ag in the Classroom teacher, visited MP East 2nd graders. Students learned about different kinds of pumpkins, the pumpkin industry, and practiced math skills by estimating and measuring pumpkins. #mphawks

MP East 2nd graders competed in their own Olympic Games featuring foot races, Frisbee throws, and bean bag tosses to celebrate the culmination of their CKLA Knowledge unit on Ancient Greece! Students earned an Olympic Gold Medal for their outstanding effort and teamwork! #mphawks

14 members of the Mid-Prairie Family Career and Community Leaders of America Chapter attended the Iowa FCCLA Fall Leadership Rally on Wednesday at Kirkwood in Cedar Rapids. Our members had a great time networking with students from across the state and learning about teamwork, service, and what it means to be a leader in your family, career, and community! Olivia Swartzendruber, Kinzlee Kiefer, and Kenlee Jeffries all completed in an Iowa FCCLA Event-- Olivia brought home third in the Chapter T-shirt Competition and Kinzlee earned first in the Interior Design competition. Congratulations to all of our competitors! #mphawks

On Friday night, our senior football players had the opportunity to recognize a teacher who has made a meaningful impact on their educational journey.
