RVC Honor Choir was held Monday, October 5, at Beckman Catholic High School in Dyersville. The event brought together talented student musicians from across the River Valley Conference for an afternoon of collaboration, learning, and music-making.

The event featured both a Middle School Honor Choir and a High School Honor Choir, with students coming together to perform two combined numbers. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to share their love of music, learn alongside other talented singers, and experience the joy of performing together. #mphawks #GoldenHawks

How will the proposed bond affect property taxes?

The proposed $19 million Mid-Prairie facility plan would be funded through a general obligation bond and WOULD NOT increase the property tax rate.

Strategic financial planning, including paying off prior debt early, using sales tax revenue for work at the Middle School and East Elementary, and aggressively paying down the 2023 bond, has positioned the Mid-Prairie District to address facility needs without increasing the property tax rate.

Graphic titled “How Will We Pay for It?” with a Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks logo. The graphic explains that the proposed facility plan will cost $19 million and will be funded through a general obligation bond requiring voter approval. It states that the bond will not increase property tax rates. The graphic asks, “How will the bond affect my taxes?” and explains that the property tax rate will not increase because Mid-Prairie has strategically planned for the projects. The district paid off prior debt early, used sales tax revenue to fund work at the Middle School and East Elementary, and is aggressively paying down the 2023 bond. These financial strategies allow the district to address facility needs at no additional cost to taxpayers. The graphic concludes with: “Vote November 3, 2026.”
