MP East Elementary Staff kicked off National Young Readers Week with Book Character Day reading their favorite books to each classroom! #mphawks

Today we were fabricating chickens in the High School Culinary Lab! Shout out to Calvin Yoder and Echo Dell Farm for arranging for us to have freshly dressed fryers to work with. Each student cut up 1 chicken, then we vacuum sealed all the parts of these 30 chickens to provide us what we need for labs in the coming year. Mid-Prairie High School held the first semester Renaissance Assembly on Friday, November 12. Students in grades 9-12 were recognized for perfect attendance, honor roll, and demonstrating positive work habits. Mid-Prairie held it's National Honor Society Banquet Tuesday evening to honor the current members and induct the new members. One of the highlights is the traditional "Influential Teacher" recognition when seniors give a speech/award to someone who has impacted their life. Congrats to all members! #mphawks

Congratulations to MPHS November 8-12 Student of the Week, Anna Nafzinger! Anna was nominated by Ag Teacher Elsa Schmidt. Mrs. Schmidt said.... Anna goes above and beyond in the classroom and in activities that she is involved in. She is willing to work with anyone and is helpful to her classmates. She works hard in all of the activities that she is a part of. Anna shows leadership throughout her day, whether that is in the classroom, on the cross country course or leading elementary students in an activity. She takes an active role in her community and is involved in many activities here at school. She keeps up her grades while doing all of these extra activities.
