We are excited to announce our newest project. The Mid-Prairie Hurricane Florence Relief Project seeks to offer our At-Risk students the opportunity to find academic success by giving back to others in alternative ways. At Mid-Prairie, we believe in raising successful, well-rounded students to become productive community members. Our students will travel to Beaufort, North Carolina to help families in need repair and rebuild their houses that were damaged in the wake of Hurricane Florence. We will take a group of 22 adults and students to North Carolina from February 10th -16th. Money raised will be used for gas, food, and safety materials for our trip.

MP Students, Evan Hall, Alyssa McDowell & Camden Marner challenged Hawkeye sophomore Luka Garza to a game of 3 on 1 after cleaning up Carver arena. The clean up was a Spanish class fundraiser for a trip to Panama. Garza was shooting hoops and graciously agreed to take them on.
Seniors met with all freshman students today to give advice on how to make the best of their high school experience. Topics included getting involved in activities, tips for academic success and how to plan for their future. #mphawks

Last week middle school teachers Jeff Foster and Nicholas O'Brien taught a collaborative unit for 6th- 8th grades during Mr. Foster's Agriculture class. Students learned how US Agricultural products and practices are promulgated throughout the world. Sixth graders studied egg processing, 7th graders looked at aquaculture and hydroponics, and 8th graders explored how Iowa pork products are utilized in different countries.
School will be delayed two hours on Tuesday, November 27. There will be no Morning Preschool. #mphawks
