Today Mrs. Whitten’s 2nd-grade Spanish class went to Mrs. Droll’s 1st-grade class to read their friends a book they have worked on for several weeks. They were able to showcase their hard work and practice their reading fluency while 1st-graders made connections to their own Spanish lesson. On Saturday, February 1st, a group of middle schoolers attended the Herbert Hoover Math Counts Chapter Competition. There were six schools and 16 teams in attendance (the competition lost an entire team to illness). The 7th-grade team scored 5th in their group, and the 8th-grade team scored 3rd. Great job! #mphawks

38 Mid-Prairie High School students earned Kirkwood College credit along with their ServSafe Manager Certificates during S1 and S2 this fall. Those who know the ServSafe content know that it is challenging, even for adults, to master! These students are now qualified to enroll in the upper-level culinary classes at Mid-Prairie, including Culinary I, Culinary II, and Bakery. They also have a valuable industry-recognized credential when they seek employment. Special Congratulations are due to the S2 class. They are the first Mid-Prairie ServSafe class ever where ALL the students passed their exam on the first try! #mphawks

Our MPHS students have done an outstanding job of making daily attendance a priority. Listed below are the average daily attendance rates for each class during the first half of the 24-25 school year.
9th grade - 94.7%
10th grade - 95.2%
11th grade - 96.1%
12th grade - 96.6%
Overall 9-12 average daily attendance - 95.7%
Congratulations to the Class of 2025! They had the highest average attendance for the first half of the school year. All Senior Seminars will be provided treats on Friday!
