Congratulations to our MPHS Students of the Week, Cadance Yoder and Jovi Evans! Cadance and Jovi were nominated by Mr. Cortum, "Both Cadance and Jovi are always very kind to other students and include them in all activities. They have really helped one of my students with his social skills and getting him out of his shell. They are always including him in things that they really don't need to, but it means a lot to him." Way to go, Cadance and Jovi! #mphawks

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzujrs1Bt68 This Wednesday we hosted a lunchroom concert at MPMS during 6th-grade lunch featuring Logan and Solomon! The whole story is that Logan asked if he and Solomon could perform for their classmates during lunch sometime. I agreed, but he had to pass an audition for the office staff before we could host the concert. Logan agreed, and using his ukulele, he performed and amazed all of us. We booked the concert date and set up the lunchroom to host. In the video attached, you'll see and hear Logan and Solomon absolutely crush their performance! While it was awesome, maybe equally awesome is how their peers, teachers, and staff reacted after their performance. You can't make students cheer and you can't manufacture support. They decided to react on their own. It was amazing! It takes a lot to get up in front of 100 peers, and it takes a lot to then cheer loudly for those same peers. It's going to be a fun year!! #HawkCulture Tim Bartels Mid-Prairie Middle School Principal Go Hawks! #mphawks
