MP East 2nd grades hosted Washington County Extension’s Ag in the Classroom with Miss Sam! Each monthly visit has a creative, hands-on ag lesson. She read the book “Corn” while students held, drew & wrote facts about the 4 types of corn she read about! #mphawks
MP East 2nd graders host Washington County Extension 4-H's TryDay Friday:Nutrition Education Program led by Becky Widmer each month. She talks about choosing healthy snacks, making healthy choices & students get to sample a particular fruit or vegetable of the day! #mphawks

The 6th grade students at MPMS have been learning about the engineering design process in STEM class this year. As a final project, the students were challenged to create an interactive toy that requires audience members to touch the toy to create a closed circuit. On Tuesday, the students were able to showcase their projects to other students and staff. Great work! #mphawks
Each year, the Mid-Prairie Middle School kitchen staff and office staff compete for the "best decorated" trophy. Congratulations to the MPMS kitchen staff for winning 1st place for the 3rd year in a row! Both areas were decorated wonderfully and offered fun activities to engage the students their last week before break. #mphawks
This week some MP students boarded the Polar Express for a trip to the North Pole, where they did some cookie decorating and visited with Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the elves! #mphawks

Mr. Lambert’s 7th grade social studies created podcasts as their unit assessment over the Ukraine and Russian conflict. Students analyzed the historical background and current perspectives of the conflict. #mphawks
