Golden Hawk Marching Band had a great day this past Sat., Oct 7 -
- Place 1st in Class 2A at the Comet Classic Marching Band Competition at West Liberty HS, Received the outstanding hornline award.
Then, Placed 2nd in Class 2A at the Muskie Marching Invitational at Muscatine HS, Received the outstanding dum major award, Received the outstanding drumline award

It’s Down Syndrome Awareness Month!
MP East is spreading awareness, advocacy and inclusion throughout the community and our schools.
On Monday October 30, MP East students & staff will wear blue, yellow and crazy socks in observance of Down Syndrome Month! 💙💛 #mphawks
It's Fire Prevention Week! MP East held a fire drill assisted by Kalona Volunteer Firefighters! They presented info about fire safety, showed us their gear & fire trucks. Thanks for your time, hats & coloring books for all. We are grateful for our local fire department! #mphawks
