🎷 Corridor Jazz Project Highlights 🎶
These photos capture the Golden Hawk Jazz Band during the Corridor Jazz Project recording session on Monday, January 26! Our high school musicians traveled to Cedar Rapids to record live at the Opus Concert Cafe inside the Paramount Theatre—an unforgettable, professional jazz experience.
Mid-Prairie was honored to collaborate with guest soloist Mike McMann, an outstanding jazz trombonist and band director at North Scott High School, on the piece “Soul Bagel” by Ryan Middagh.
Sponsored by KCCK-FM 88.3, Iowa’s only radio station dedicated entirely to jazz, the Corridor Jazz Project continues to celebrate and support student musicians across the region. This marks Mid-Prairie’s fourth year participating in this incredible opportunity—and we couldn’t be prouder! #mphawks

Congratulations to our MPHS Student of the Week, Kennah Robertson! Kennah was nominated by Mrs. Stutzman, "Kennah deserves an "Atta Girl!" for the way she has started her semester in Spanish 2. She talked with me before the semester began and vowed to try her hardest in Spanish 2. She definitely has. She comes in during Hawk Block often, stayed after school one day for extra help, has created her own flash cards, frequently studies them, and has made sure to reach out when she was unable to be in class.
