Unified PE is the place to be during Hawk Block! Unified PE is part of the Peer 2 Peer program at Mid-Prairie High School. Mr. Coghlan and Mrs. Sieren have banded together to develop a new opportunity for all students. After doing some research, meeting with GWAEA staff, and visiting a Unified PE program that is already in place, they have begun this awesome enrichment program. Unified PE is an opportunity for peers of all abilities to develop genuine relationships with each other. Students apply to be a part of this fun activity and are able to sign up to join on Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays. Students may still apply and see if this is an activity they would like to participate in. We are excited to have this opportunity for our students and are looking for ways to expand in the future. Go Hawks! #mphawks

In geometry, MPHS students have been studying perpendicular bisectors and geometric constructions. Today, they used that idea to divide a town into equal regions so that each house has their pizza delivered from the closest of the three pizzerias. They used compasses and straight edges to find these lines and did a lot of great critical thinking! #mphawks
