Elsa Schmidt and Deidra Baker took Mid-Prairie FFA students to COLT (Chapter Officer Leadership Training) at Muscatine Community College. This training occurs during the summer, and is lead by district FFA officers, with the assistance of the state FFA officers. Proud of our MP leaders! #mphawks

The Adult English class at Mid-Prairie met 5 times this year. It is a free class with child care provided by high school volunteers. The last 2 classes focused on conversation with fluent speakers. Juniors in Physics and AP Bio went to a science themed escape room. They went to the "Making Mad" escape room at Fantastic Escapes in Cedar Rapids. They are proud to report that they escaped with 10 minutes and 13 seconds left! The students really enjoyed it and even learned a little bit more about science. #mphawks #seethestars #seeforyourself

Alex Seawright, Mason Sieren and Erin Harmston competed in Ames at the State Special Olympics Competition. Alex placed 2nd in the javelin throw, Mason placed 1st in the 100M walk race and Erin placed 1st in the 50M walk race. It was an amazing weekend! #mphawks

Mid-Prairie Football Camp will be held August 1-4. Separate sessions will be available for students entering 5th-8th grades and students entering 9th-12th grades. The camp will include daily instruction from Mid-Prairie staff and include technique of fundamentals, position specific drills, teamwork activities, and skill competitions. #mphawks
