Dear Families of Incoming 9th grade students:
Welcome to MPHS! We are happy you are here! High school is an exciting step in a student’s educational career, and we are committed to helping all students and families have a positive and exciting experience. We are honored to have the opportunity to work together and help our students prepare for their future. To assist students and families for the upcoming school year, we wanted to share some important information.
On Thursday, August 18 from 7:00 - 8:30 pm we will be having our family orientation evening for incoming 9th grade MPHS students. Students and families will begin in the cafeteria at the high school. Please enter the building through doors W3 or S2. Students will then go with their Seminar Advisor to their classrooms. Students will receive their schedules and have an opportunity to have questions answered. Family members will remain in the cafeteria and receive additional information about MPHS and have questions answered. Parents will also be visiting with the Seminar Advisors to learn more. Students will then rejoin their families and be given time to tour the building, find their classrooms, and meet their teachers. We are excited that we will also be having an activities fair in the gym from 8:00 - 8:30. This will give students and families an opportunity to better understand all of the great activities and clubs offered at MPHS.
To help us prepare, please make sure your student is registered through the district’s eRegistration. If you have questions or are unable to get your student registered, please contact Karmen Cady kcady@mphawks.org.
We hope that our family orientation will help answer questions and ease any anxiousness that comes with new beginnings. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. Go Hawks!
Sincerely,
Chuck Banks and MPHS Staff

Mid-Prairie Community School District is looking into possibly providing a pep bus for the state baseball game on Tuesday. The bus will leave from the High School on Tuesday by 9:00 AM and no later. You will need to sign you child up to ride on the bus, have them at the school by 9:00, and also provide at least 3 items for our local food pantry. We will not be charging the students to ride, but will be asking for the donations for the food pantry instead.
We will have a staff chaperone on the bus with the students to help with any needs they need on while on the school bus. It is the responsibility of the student to be sure they make the bus to and from this event.
The chaperone will be checking off names, and making sure that the student has a purchased ticket for the game prior to leaving the High School. I would say that you would want to arrive at the High School by 8:30-8:45 to be checked in and ready to leave by 9:00. (Please be sure to send money for food.)
We will need at least 20 kids to sign up for us to be sure that it is worth sending a bus to this event. You will need to be signed up by Monday at noon so that we can decide if we will be providing this service or not. Please use the link below to sign up. #mphawks
