This weekend the Mid Prairie wrestling team sent 11 girls to the 4th annual Iowa Coaches and Officials Association Girl's State Wrestling Tournament at Xtream Arena in Coralville. Over 700 girls represented 160 schools.
Place winners for Mid Prairie were Gabi Robertson (7th) and Bronwyn Brenneman (5th).
Of the 160 schools, Mid Prairie finished in 9th place. They scored the 4th most match points as a team, with Gabi Robertson scoring the 2nd most match points out of the 700+ participants. The girls representing Mid-Prairie include: Gabi Robertson, Ashlee Farrier, Grace Conway, Emil Harmston, Bronwyn Brenneman, Ellie Brenneman, Madison Kelly, Marissa Cline, Ainsley Lueck, Mia Garvey and Ali Bolanos. #mphawks #seethestars #seeforyourself
10 Mid-Prairie Large Group Speech Groups competed Saturday, January 22 at Montezuma High School for the Iowa High School Speech Association's District Large Group Speech Contest. 8 of 10 groups earned division 1 ratings, with the other two groups earning division 2 ratings. The groups earning a division 1 rating will now advance to IHSSA State Large Group Contest at Kennedy High School on Saturday, February 5.
