The Mid-Prairie West Elementary Community committee organized a community raising of comfort goods and items to provide to the U of I healthcare workers in response to a reach out email that Mr. Schneider received from their Critical Unit department. We had a great response from the Mid-Prairie community who responded generously to our call for donations. The goods were delivered on Friday and were received with a lot of gratitude and appreciation for our community. #mphawks #seethestars #seeforyourself

Congratulations to MPHS first ever Student of the Week, Mid-Prairie Junior, Drake Mann. Drake was nominated by his Social Studies Teacher, Mrs. Silbaugh. Mrs. Silbaugh commented, "Drake has a gift of making other students feel heard and valued. He comes to class ready to learn and with a positive attitude. In Ms. Sieren’s physics class at MPHS, students learned about impact forces and how cars are deigned to limit damage in crashes. Students applied what they learned by designing cars to protect an egg during a classroom egg demo derby. Hands-on, creative, and fun! #mphawks
