In stats class, MPHS students collected data about Skittles and M&M's to learn about relative frequency and marginal, joint, and conditional probability. They also learned more about ways to display data using Desmos. Seniors are also at the point in PALM where they get to bring their "babies" to class! Seniors sure are learning a lot in their last year at MPHS! #mphawks

Congratulations to our MPHS Students of the Week, Elden Kahler and Kyla Karnes! Elden and Kyla were nominated by Mrs. Seward, "Elden and Kyla were amazing and so appreciated last week by volunteering to help out with the Adult Community Education Culinary Class, Knives and Fire: Knife Skills and Stir Fry, that was held in the culinary arts lab on Wednesday evening. They came early and stayed late, helping in so many ways and cleaning up the lab when class was over. Silver Cord hours were available but neither of them needed the hours and volunteered anyway. Adult class members mentioned how much they appreciated the students being involved. Elden and Kyla definitely made a positive impression and confirmed that MPHS students are great!!" Way to go! #mphawks

On Friday, Mrs. Baker's stats class at MPHS investigated permutations and combinations using flags. They created a variety of flags and figured out which ones were the same and which were unique. They will use what they learned in probability problems next week and later as they make games of chance! #mphawks
