The MPHS Rockstar Award has been passed on to someone who has embodied the traits we want our students to have. This person has shown perseverance, resilience, determination in the face of adversity, and problem-solving skills. This person has found people to help out, asked a lot of questions, and learned that sometimes when you ask, “When am I ever gonna need to know this,” the answer is sooner than you think.
Edye Freeman is a true rockstar- she has shown up this year for our students, she puts in the work, and she empathizes with her students while still having high expectations. She has shown kids what lifelong learners look like. She has struggled and been productive. She may not be having the best year ever, but she has made the best of the year she has had.

Congratulations to our MPHS Student of the Week, Lance Schlabaugh! Lance was nominated by Mrs. Schneider, "He works very hard in class each day. He also works hard outside of school, working 20-30 hours a week at DJs Cafe. He works hard to complete his work independently and accurately. In Florida for the service trip, he never stopped working. If he finished one job, he took the initiative to find the next thing to do. I am very proud of Lance's work ethic!"
