Byte Brawlers #25788 is off and running! We had a great scrimmage in Solon on Thursday night. They competed in 5 rounds, improving each time they went into the arena. Each match lasts 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Team members work with their strengths in coding, marketing, and building. Our upcoming meets are Nov 16th at West High School, Dec 7th at Highland, and Dec 14th in Belle Plaine. Our league tournament will be Feb 1st at West High. MP East second graders LOVE being a Lunchroom Helper. They meet, greet and serve all Kindergartners, 1st graders and 2nd graders. According to every 2nd grader, it truly is the best job ever! 🖤💛 #mphawks

Mark your calendars! MP Elementary Music Teacher, Mrs. Hershberger, has a new Fall 2nd Grade Music Program coming up on Tuesday, November 19 at 6:30pm at the MPHS Cafetorium. The kids have been practicing. You don’t want to miss this special music program! #mphawks

This week 8th grade math students found the cost of a 100x100 burger (100 patties with cheese) at In 'n' Out. They learned how to write a linear equation to represent this situation and how the equation can make finding our answer faster and easier. #mphawks #mathisfun

THANK YOU Nate Young, Seif Zaki, and Jacek Gralak with Transition Technologies for speaking to our 6th graders! They shared the math used in factories to produce different pieces of technology and how to create AI. Students also tested RealWear voice-activated devices. #mphawks

Mid-Prairie High School Drama will present the musical Matilda, Friday and Saturday November 1 and 2 at 7:00 pm, and Sunday November 3 at 2:00 pm at Mid-Prairie High School. Inspired by the twisted genius of Roald Dahl, The musical Matilda is about an extraordinary young girl who is unloved by her cruel parents, and bullied by the school's mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull. In 6th grade math, students explored unit rates by calculating their speed walking and running 10 meters in the hallways! Then they compared their rates with world record holders in 15 m speed climbing, 100 m hurdles, and 50 m swimming. #mphawks #mathisfun

On Friday in Social Studies, 6th graders mummified apples in their study of Ancient Egypt! #mphawks

MP East 2nd grade welcomed Washington County Extension Ag in the Classroom Educator, Sam Jamison, for monthly Ag in the Classroom lessons. This program increases their agricultural knowledge about how their food grows & daily products they use. 🎃#mphawks

MP 2nd graders graders welcomed Miss Becky Widmer to teach them about the Washington County Extension TryDay Friday:Nutrition Education Program! It motivates kids to eat more fruits & vegetables & meals and snacks, & to be more physically active. #mphawks
