After MP-East 1st graders created a drawing of their very own imagined monster, MPMS 7th grade FCS students were given the task of making that monster come to life! 7th graders worked hard to sew a monster following their 1st grade partner's detailed drawing, and the results were impressive. The 7th graders delivered their creations, and the 1st graders loved receiving their monsters. #mphawks

This past Thursday, May 11th, Max Kipp performed in the All Iowa 8th Grade Honor Band at the Iowa Bandmasters Association Conference. Only 1 percussionist is chosen to represent the top musical talent from South East Iowa, and Max had the highest audition score! Max performed alongside the top 8th-grade musicians from across the state under the baton of Lisa Gavin. The group also premiered a song composed by Mrs. Gavin called, "Call of the Prairie" - a song that honors the Ioway, the indigenous people of Iowa. #mphawks
Congratulations to the Girls' Golf Team! They won the first round of regionals on Friday advancing on to Williamsburg. They shot a team-low of 374, and four out of the six girls qualified as individuals. #mphawks
