Volleyball:
Volleyball will play the first round of Regionals at Mid-Prairie on Monday, October 18th at 7:00pm. Admission must be purchased online through Varsity Bound. Use the link below to purchase tickets or you can use the Varsity Bound app. Cash will not be taken at the door.

Cross Country:
Cross Country will run the state qualifying meet at Williamsburg at their Sports Complex (913 Franklin Street) on Thursday, October 21st at 4:00pm. Admissions will be $5 per car and can be paid at the event.
Football:
The location for the first round of football playoffs is still TBD but it will be Friday, October 22nd. Whoever hosts will use HomeTown ticketing and, similar to volleyball, tickets must be purchased through that app or through IHSAA website.

The 6th graders explored and found equivalent ratios by mixing blue and yellow to make certain shades of green in math class!

Mid-Prairie HSAP presented about STEAM grants they received at the school board meeting last night. It was a very “hands-on” meeting! One board member commented, “Lots of smiles, laughs and probably germs in the room!”

Preschool and Alternative Kindergarten students had a visit with the Washington County Naturalist today and learned about animals that live near us. They got to see and feel the furs of some animals. #mphawks #seethestars #seeforyourself

Thank you to the Kalona Volunteer Fire Department for coming to MP East Elementary for National Fire Safety Month. They talked about fire safety, smoke & carbon monoxide detectors and having an escape plan that is practiced just as we do our fire drills at school. #mphawks
MP East 2nd graders serve as lunch room helpers each day assisting the cooks. Each class has a lunchroom helper 4 of the 6 days cycle schedule. They LOVE serving and greeting all K-2 students and staff to help our awesome cooks! #mphawks
