Thank you to the Kalona Fire Department for visiting MP East during Fire Prevention Week and leading our all-school fire drill! Students learned about fire safety, explored the fire trucks, asked great questions, and loved the fire hats and coloring books! 🔥🚒 #mphawks

Mid-Prairie FFA members visited our second graders to teach a fun, hands-on lesson about the apple life cycle! Students enjoyed a read-aloud, apple brainstorming, and creating their own life cycle projects. 🍎📚#mphawks

Today, Miss Sam, the Washington County Extension Ag in the Classroom teacher, visited MP East 2nd graders. Students learned about different kinds of pumpkins, the pumpkin industry, and practiced math skills by estimating and measuring pumpkins. #mphawks

MP East 2nd graders competed in their own Olympic Games featuring foot races, Frisbee throws, and bean bag tosses to celebrate the culmination of their CKLA Knowledge unit on Ancient Greece! Students earned an Olympic Gold Medal for their outstanding effort and teamwork! #mphawks
