Save the Date: Pulled Pork Post Prom Fundraiser Meal on November 21, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Drive-thru service will be available at two locations: Mid-Prairie High School in Wellman and Mid-Prairie Middle School in Kalona. The flyer features a pulled pork sandwich with barbecue sauce, macaroni and cheese, and green beans, with black, white, and gold lettering and graphics.

MPMS October Student of the Month, Cadence 5th grade, Cadence goes above and beyond to be helpful in the classroom and to be kind to her peers. She frequently jumps in to help clean up materials and assist her peers if they have questions. Cadence includes everyone and treats her peers with respect. In addition, she consistently displays her best effort in her work. -Mrs. Adam

MPMS October Student of the Month, Blakely 6th grade, Blakely is a responsible and hardworking student who consistently sets a great example for her classmates. She takes pride in her work and holds herself to high expectations, even when something is challenging. Blakely is not afraid to ask thoughtful questions, which shows that she wants to do her best. She is also very helpful to both her classmates and teachers and is someone we can all count on. Blakely comes to class with a positive attitude, is ready to learn, and gives her best effort each day. We are very proud of Blakely and feel she is very deserving of Student of the Month! - Mrs. Bartels

MPMS October Student of the Month, Maylee 7th grade, Maylee is an amazing role model for everyone around her. She is always positive and kind, and she makes people feel welcome and included. When she works with classmates, she listens, shares ideas, and helps the whole group do its best. She also goes above and beyond with her work. She doesn’t just do what is asked. She puts in extra effort and takes pride in doing a great job. When she isn’t sure about something, she asks questions so she can really understand it, which shows how much she cares about learning. - Ms. Lunsford

MPMS October Student of the Month, Bryce 8th grade, Bryce is an excellent example of a respectful, honest, and optimistic student. He is respectful to all staff members and students no matter who they are. Bryce brings a positive and optimistic attitude to class every day, and he is motivated to tackle any challenge that he may encounter. Bryce is an honest and trustworthy student that others can depend on. -Ms. Tunning

MP is excited to share that the middle school had 3 students accepted into the OPUS honor choirs in Ames: Kendrix Miller, 6th grade (5/6 Choir), and Keilah Fleming and Lillian Campbell in 8th grade (7/8 grade Treble Choir)!! Ruby Greiner, in 9th grade at the high school, was also chosen - now a 3-year Opus veteran! Hundreds of students across the state of Iowa audition for spots in the choirs of 180 voices each. Their performance is Thursday, November 19th, at CY Stephens Auditorium in Ames! #mphawks #GoldenHawks
