Trunk or Treat was a blast despite the chilly air Friday night! Thank you to over 700 kids and their families for coming to celebrate with MP Elementary staff while enjoying the food trucks on site. #mphawks
Lots of accomplishments for MP activities this fall! Hats off to the students, parents, and coaches.
Dance Team - 6 girls went to state solo qualifiers and ended up with 5 division 1 placers and 2 in the top 10! Those two girls will go on to compete at state in December.
Marching Band - Division I Rating at state competition. 3rd year in a row of Division I rating.
Volleyball - The team shared the regular season conference title. Advanced to Regional Final (final 16 teams). Ended with 31 wins on the year.
Football - Won 5 of their last 7 games. Finished 2nd in their district and qualified for the playoffs for the 4th year in a row. Advanced to 2nd Round of playoffs (final 16 teams). Tied or broke 3 individual records.
Cross Country - Girls team won both the conference and district meets. The Boys team got 3rd at conference and 3rd at the district. Both teams qualified for the state meet (final 15 teams). Girls team finished 4th in the state. Danielle Hochstetler placed 5th as an individual. Boys team finished 10th in the state. Emmett Swartzentruber won the individual state championship!
Drama - Musical "Into the Woods" will be performed Nov 3, 4, and 5th at MPHS. Over 50 students in the cast and crew.

Elementary Families, TONIGHT - Friday, October 27th from 5:30-7:00pm we will be hosting our annual Trunk or Treat event here at MP-East. This is a free event for all elementary students and families put on by Mid-Prairie Elementary Staff Members.
We will also have the following food trucks available: Stonewall Brick Oven Pizza, Country Cookin', Iowa Bred and El Gringo Loco Taco Truck. So come hungry!! #mphawks
Event Update: MPHS Culinary I students will have a unique experience working with Cafe Dodici's 4-Course Dinner event on November 6th. They have developed and will be fully preparing the appetizer recipes on the menu, as well as performing other duties as assigned. This fundraiser event is open to the public, and the money raised benefits the future workforce in Iowa's restaurant industry. Our culinary students are looking forward to it! The MP Cross Country teams leaves for the State on Friday at 12:30 PM. Kalona and Wellman Fire trucks will lead them through downtown Wellman before they head West towards Fort Dodge. Come out and wish them the best! Girls run at 10:30 AM and Boys at 11:15 on Saturday.
