Belated congratulations to Milo Sieren, our MPHS Student of the Week for April 10-14. We apologize, Milo, that your recognition was not posted on time!! He was nominated by Mrs. Silbaugh, "Milo has made great effort in the classroom and it is paying off with his grades. After the tornado in our district on Friday he helped out Friday-Sunday with clean up. I think it's great to have students who are there for our community when they need it. I'm proud of all his efforts inside and outside the classroom this semester!" Great work, Milo! #mphawks
Mad About Money, a company based out of Minneapolis, came to present to MPMS 5th graders as part of the 5th grade Financial Literacy unit. The skits taught the students about debits and credits, and they kept everyone laughing the whole time! #mphawks

Mid-Prairie's English Language Learning teamed up with Kalona Public Library again to host Multilingual Literacy Day. The goal was to get elementary students into the public library and prepped for summer reading! The presentation for parents shared about the importance and benefits of supporting a child's multilingual strengths. Each student also received a book in their home language: Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Portuguese, or Nepali! #mphawks

Grace Conway & Mia Garvey will be presenting their music Senior Recital this coming Saturday, April 29th at 2:00pm in the MPHS Cafeteria. This recital is a culmination of their fine arts experiences over the last four years. They would greatly appreciate your support.
